Welcome to my blog.
A little about me. I’m in my mid-twenties and live in London.
I am a BA graduate in Sociology and MA graduate in Social Anthropology. I enjoyed my dissertation topic so much, that I self-published my first book!
Remembering 1971: On British Bangladeshis transmitting memories from the Bangladesh Liberation War (2020)
The study looks at the methods of memory transmission of the 1971 Bangladesh War of Liberation between first, second and third generation Bangladeshis, with a focus on British Bangladeshis and how the retelling of the war affects British Bangladeshi identity. This is an ethnographic piece of research that was conducted over a period of seven months between February 2020 – August 2020.
The book is available to purchase here through Amazon. If you do not support Amazon, you can purchase a signed copy through me directly.
I have worked in Youth Services for 5 years in various settings around London, whilst studying full-time and volunteering for various charities. When it was time to move on, I moved over to a financial education charity during the pandemic before transitioning to a research role at my current place of work.
